Be Sweet Y'all!

Excuse Detox/ If I always do what I have always done I will always get what I have always got!!!

I had all kinds of excuses swirling around in my head as to why I could not get this love note out and all of them were good and perhaps some were made up but I found my reasons instead.  When I opened my heart and mind I found more topics that I could fit into one note.

I know all of you have heard the expression about the definition of insanity and that is:  “ Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results.”  But I like this version better and I go back to it over and over when I am stuck and can not seem to find my way forward.  I know many have said it but one of my wise pastors told me this at a time in my life when I was paralyzed and trying to change something that was not mine to change!!!!

If you always do what you have always done you will always get what you’ve always got.”

One thing that I know that I have fallen prey to and I imagine you have to is using excuses instead of reasons. So I decided this morning to go on an Excuse Fast!!! I have already tried intermittent fasting and I love what that did for my mind and body so lets give this a go.  When I stop using excuses it forces me to look for solutions, my brain is triggered to find all the possibilities. Just like our last love note: What does this make possible?

Excuses seem to be the accepted norm and the go-to when we are not succeeding or we are stuck.  Excuses keep me from taking full responsibility for my life.. ONLY WHEN I TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR MY LIFE CAN I DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

Anytime I have used things outside my control to prevent me from doing what I am put here to do, I do not win and neither do you.  I know that I have zero control over the economy, world order, political strife, grumpy people, things I perceive as unfair.  Your list may be different but the concept and perception are the same.  Spending energy, time and focus on things that I am powerless to change will drain us, keep us from our best and worse it impacts all around us for the negative.

What are your excuses?  Have they helped you move forward?  Or are they holding you back from creating and being creative?  Are you impacting the world in the way you envisioned?  I know I have asked lots of questions lately but that is the only way I can look at what I am doing. I can see what is working and do more of that and what is not, that has to be kicked to the curb!!!!

So join me will you!!!! Lets ditch all of our excuses and find the reasons to live that life that we are more than capable of living. Only in that way will I make the difference I am put here to make.  I heard this on a podcast today and it pierced my heart and I hope it will yours too.

“Sometimes you have to be created differently to make a difference.” – Trent Shelton.

I am ready to make a difference in the best possible way. How about you???

Grateful to each and every one of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Each and everyone of you are my best reasons!!!!!!!!!
