As a person who loves to read and think and discover and focus on my own personal growth I have pondered what is the difference between the people who make it in any industry and those that don’t. I have met so many brilliant people with so many talents and abilities and skills far beyond what I have. These are people who when you meet them you are convinced that they are going to take this industry by storm and rise to the top in easy fashion. They are organized…. Which I am not!!! They have skills that I have yet to explore. They have a network. They have an abundance of knowledge and EVERY thing that we think builds success but yet…….
Now I do think that some people are just not made for certain things and some people are not successful because perhaps their creator is pointing them into their true purpose. Or perhaps this is just a stepping stone to next. What I have come to believe with all of my heart is that Jim Rohn was spot on with THIS TRUTH:
YOUR LEVEL OF SUCCESS WILL RARELY EXCEED YOUR LEVEL OF PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT BECAUSE SUCCESS IS SOMETHING YOUR ATTRACT BY THE PERSON YOU BECOME.
If I believe or rather do not believe that I can be successful or if I don’t think I deserve the success no manner of skills can trump that. Our inner beliefs and our desires to become must be the starting point of any successful endeavor. WE limit ourselves when we diminish our gifts or when we believe we are not worthy. Or perhaps we have soundtracks running in our head that tell us that: It’s too late, the economy is just too bad, Too many others are doing it, It has already been done!!!! The fact is it is NEVER too late, The economy is always changing and there is always a market for those that believe it to be. If others have done it then you can too!!!!!
I believe strongly that systems are vital in our business but I BELIEVE even stronger that your personal growth and belief in yourself and the belief in the goodness of others is the FOUNDATION that your success can be built on.
I also believe that Ryan Holiday got it just right when he wrote the book, The Obstacle is The Way…. The timeless art of turning trials into Triumph. For this to be true our goal and our focus this year has to be in our own personal development. I believe and declare that if you do this then your business and your life will explode before you.
The really wonderful thing about becoming more of who you are designed to be is that it gives others the permission to do the same.
I am sharing my affirmation that I wrote today that may help you tap into more of the innate power that is in you just screaming to be let out:
I was made for this!!!
I know that what impedes me can empower me
When I meet adversity I turn it into my advantage
I was made to outwit adversity
I read, I study, and I pray on a daily basis
I know that my growth is all up to me and is within my reach
I believe and practice this truth:
My level of success will rarely exceed my personal development because success is something that I am attracting by the person I am becoming.
And so it is.
I am so thankful to be on this forward journey with all of you and it is my prayer and my wish that you realize what an amazing creation you are, created by a Creator that loves you and desires that you become what you were created to be!!!
